“Every avalanche begins with the movement of a single snowflake, and my hope is to move a snowflake.”

Magecraft: The skill of tapping into and utilizing mana comes naturally to Lyra. Her mastery in the field is both innate and brilliant. She can achieve feats beyond a mage’s wildest dreams. Lyra’s accomplishments reach and stand among the divine and immortal. Incidentally, the versatile nature of her magecraft allows her to facilitate a wide range of dangerous moves. Several examples include her powerful cosmic abilities, poisons of any variety, and spiritualism. Those who find themselves in crossfire with this unpredictable and deadly mystic should never underestimate the extent of Lyra’s proficiency, for doing so grants an assured death.

Ninjutsu: A combative art that utilizes and weaponizes chakra. This practice permits Lyra to manipulate and materialize elements in the world on physical and spiritual planes. It is unequivocally multifaceted, considering Lyra can use a plethora of elements and combinations. Lyra’s high adeptness gives her the ability to exercise frightening Kekkei Genkai along with additional assets capable of great fatality.

Draconic Heart: The Dragon Core is a mighty engine capable of extraordinary feats. This heart rests within Lyra, a genetic symbol of the unimaginable power that derives from her ancestors. It thrums with unseen and untapped potential, a frightening warning to any foe she encounters. It acts as a roaring engine that expedites high reservoirs of mana. Anyone who undermines its capabilities is sorely mistaken. For it is a heart known to fuel and function the most exceptional of beings.

Sombraluna: This Zanpakuto acts as a seal to Lyra’s hollow nucleus that she can activate and deactivate at any given point. Accessing it awakens an eerie and harrowing presence that causes even the strongest of warriors to shudder with unease. For this blade of cosmic essence resonates with a sinister tone Lyra prefers to bury. Rarely will anyone encounter this ability. However, those who do never emerge victorious, alive if lucky.

War Fans: Lyra had beautiful and sturdy war fans crafted that she dual-wields. Her precision and skill with this weaponry are incredibly proficient and deadly against most foes. She can combo magic with her fans and deliver assaults and defense in both ranged and close-quarter combat. Lyra using her weapons as a conduit for her mysticism is significantly lethal for the aforementioned reasons. It is not recommended you test your luck and find out just how far her mastery of the fan can go.

Mothra: A regal titan that holds an incredibly close bond to Lyra. She takes the form of a larva before entering metamorphosis and emerges as a moth of astronomical size. Mothra resides in Moonscape Hollow and is the renowned protector of this biome. Her benevolent nature is sensed throughout the environment in its entirety. Loyal to Lyra, she arrives at any battle when summoned. Nevertheless, her appearance is extremely seldom. On the off opportunity, you do encounter Mothra, beware. This majestic kaiju holds immense power and might that shakes the skies and condemns the earth. Allowing her magnanimity to trick you is a promised defeat.

Shihai no Magan: Divine perception provides Lyra with a blessed clarity past all rationale. These eyes can view realms beyond the comprehension of many. Vision that is known to reign upon the holy and divine with unrivaled sanctity. They allow Lyra to view all energy, unfathomable depth and detail, and every construct beyond what one can dream. The Sharingan and its elders have terrifying dominion in both the physical and mental/spiritual dimensions. Any opponent examined with this gaze is already predicted and perceived with perfect accuracy. If blows cannot deliver in the physical world, the haunting and superior authority of these blessed eyes can invade an individual’s mind. Lyra can conduct what level of disaster she deems necessary for success. No person or creature should look within the azure stare of Lyra’s unpredictable gaze capable of granting imminent demise.

History

A Century Ago...

A clear, chilly winter night befell the Shirogane Estate at the heart of Stygia. Stars gleamed across the indigo canvas with the promise of a new beginning. Meanwhile, rays of soft moonlight filtered through the palace windows into the center of the anticipated event. The Shogun, Shigure Shirogane, awaited the news apprehensively. He had a lovely wife named N̸̏̒i̶̾͘ m̵̓̔ u̷̔́ë̸́́ expecting the birth of twin daughters that very night. The first to be born was Lyra, likely evicted by her eager and rambunctious counterpart, Rika, who came rushing after into the light of the world. Two overjoyed parents with warm hearts greeted the arrival of the Shirogane twins. They were born to the comfort and luxury of royalty, and the first year of their life carried peace, contentment, and prosperity for Stygia. Unfortunately, nothing stays good forever. Out of nowhere, their mother went missing for reasons unbeknownst to them. To this day, they only carry vague memories of the mother they once knew. As they grew, Shigure decided to spare them from the truth behind her disappearance. He raised his daughters with minimal details about their mother or her origin. Despite their pleas, he refused to reveal anything further for their protection.Regardless of the tragedy, life went on for the noble family of Stygia. The twins’ father ensured that their upbringing had no hindrances or obstacles. The duo was put through the highest training, academics, and education levels. Most of their training was tailored to enhance and foster the skills and talents the Shirogane daughters had in their respective fields. Additionally, they received the most excellent care and luxuries that adhere to a royal lifestyle.Lyra was the calmer and more level-headed twin than her endearing but ambitious and reckless sister. She looked to the stars, moon, and everything celestial at an incredibly young age. Her proficiency in mage craft and fatal stealth became apparent to Shigure quite early on. For these reasons, she underwent intensive training specifically to further her spellwork and learn the ways of an assassin. Furthermore, her natural inclination and performance level in spiritualism accelerated her growth as an apprentice. The girl’s sharp mind astounded every instructor Shigure introduced. The vicious cycle and struggle for Shigure were locating someone Lyra wouldn’t eventually surpass or outsmart long term. The young noble girl excelled not only in the world of magic, academics, and combat but etiquette, politics, culture, and the social scape that encapsulated Stygia. She inherited her father’s charm and cordiality when it came to appealing to the public and upholding the refined standards of a princess. Lyra won the hearts of many despite her perilous aura, which is an automatic factor of her presence. Otherwise, her genuine and polite demeanor warmed the hearts of Stygian locals and people close to her. However, nothing was more important to her than Rika. She and her sister had a bond that extended past time immemorial. They would do anything for each other and their father. For Lyra, family meant more to her than her own life if it assured their safety. Together, despite being total opposites, the sisters navigated their entire childhood and shared endless experiences. Nothing but death incarnate could separate them.

Stygia had an era of peace under Shigure’s reign, and everything seemed copacetic for the benevolent eastern country. Time passed, and the royal daughters blossomed into their teenagehood quite well. They prevailed in their studies and became immensely strong for a couple of teenage girls. Lyra honed in and developed her sharp mind and mystical prowess to the fullest she could. Her social life was aplenty with popularity, prestige, high class, and luxurious crowds of people who wished to befriend, be her, or get to know her. She had a slightly different experience than Rika when it came to friendships. While Lyra greeted everyone with a pleasant demeanor, she preferred not to let people close. Deep down, the young Shirogane believed people would use her for her status and power. These beliefs steered her towards solitude, family, and education and away from an abundance of unnecessary acquaintances. Regardless, she made herself socialize and maintain a circle of people she deemed decent enough with which to associate. Her classes and academics extended into new fields and areas of expertise that diversified her talents and skills. Furthermore, she discovered that she enjoyed weaponry beyond war fans and magecraft. She delved into swordsmanship and similar fields of combat and found surprising tactics for close-range fighting when it came to swordplay. For Lyra, new heights were reached, and obstacles were defeated. The noble daughter maintained a strong bond with her family that time only strengthened. Lyra and Rika attended expeditions with their father and started seeing the responsibilities of leadership. However, these journeys also allowed the family to spend time together. Rika would always be eager to get a head start on any type of action and get right up close to address or unintentionally spark conflict. On the contrary, Lyra stayed close to her father or handled situations more passively and amenably. Although, individuals who tried to take advantage of her sweet disposition swiftly learned the hard way. Shigure often had to step in to get Rika’s fists out of people’s faces and nudge Lyra to get out of her shell or, on the rare occasion, save the lives of those who pressed too far. A couple had near-death experiences. Luckily, most casualties of potential death were avoided. Despite the crazy events, the Shirogane family loved and shared their happiness and knowledge with each other. Shigure cared tremendously for his daughters, so much so that he would’ve offered them the world. His daughters returned the same amount of love, and Lyra would’ve gone to any length to keep him safe.Alas, not even the bright, hopeful, and unconditional love between a father and his daughters could prevent the tragedy that struck Stygia. Once full of vitalization and life, the beloved country took an unexpected turn and began to beckon and call upon darker forces. The hunger and greed for power and knowledge awakened horrors of eldritch origin, bringing inescapable consequences for the decisions made. A scarlet mist enveloped the land, and devastation occurred all around. Shigure faced difficult choices and was forced to decide the best route to save his family. He cast Lyra far away from the city with little time left and jeopardy on the horizon. It was a miracle he could save her. On the other hand, Rika got sealed into the Sacred Spear Rhongomyniad in a last-ditch effort to protect her from the atrocities that plagued and consumed the nation.Stygia fell to its own demise, buried and sundered from all the eldritch terrors and sickly mana that doomed the formerly lively and vibrant country. The Shirogane family was separated and fractured. Their entire past was wiped from their minds and drowned by the ramifications of Stygia’s actions. Thankfully, Lyra survived. However, her memory, along with Shigure’s, was removed. The remembrance of the past was stolen by whatever eldritch force struck their domain. Without a home or genuine sense of identity, Lyra ended up in Lux Aurea, where her navigation in the world of Albion began.

Years and years went by since the catastrophe that ruined Stygia and rendered it to fallen remnants. It became a desolate wasteland with abandoned churches and an ecosystem for frightening eldritch monsters. Elsewhere on the planet of Albion, Lyra resided in the mystical and whimsical country she founded known as Moonscape Hollow. Despite the amnesia she suffered, she persevered, utterly unaware of her past. The Shirogane daughter matured into a beautiful young woman and made a following for herself and a place in the world. After a series of events, Lyra unknowingly reunited with her father, who surfaced with a new identity. He was now called Dhaos Pendragon and dealt with the same condition as his daughter regarding no recollection of his former life or the fact that he was the father of twins. However, their bond's essence remained prominent throughout their interactions and friendship. Dhaos became the King of Camelot, and he brought Lyra onboard as a Knight of the Roundtable. Additionally, she filled the roles of an assassin and Camelot’s lead tracker.Lyra’s journeys with Camelot were a big highlight of her life. They held a plethora of interwoven and interconnected secrets that were important keys to her past and beyond anything she ever knew. Many encounters and events unfolded during her time with them as she fought alongside them against threats that rivaled the world. After the days of wars, mana illnesses, and Camelot’s eventual disbandment, life subdued to a bittersweet stance. However, things started to pierce the woman’s mind. The symptoms began with flashbacks, and her past finally unveiled itself over the course of several days. Fortunately, the same happened to Dhaos, who returned to the scene as Shigure. The curse that laced their minds shattered, and the duo worked immediately to revive Stygia to its glory days. Shigure unsealed Rika from Rhongomyniad with her memories intact, and the twins exchanged a ceremonial reunion of incomprehensible joy.Stygia was revitalized and rid of the cursed energies and dangerous entities. A new era was in store for Albion and the nation of Stygia. The Shirogane returned to oppose whoever threatened the world. For the first time in ages, Lyra was truly home.

Peeves: Disloyalty, Inappropriate Behavior, Obnoxious Noises, Betrayal, RudenessUsual Behavior:Enigmatic - Lyra carries a constant air of mystery wherever she roams. To outsiders and even those considered close, the Shirogane woman is never fully open. She is known for her depth of knowledge regarding subjects that no one could guess. The lady's array of vast intellect and mental resources is impeccable. For instance, she retains information about her country that not even the powerhouses of Albion outright access.Composed - The Shirogane daughter next to never loses her cool regardless of the circumstances. She is well known for rarely revealing signs of panic or distress to the public except for the occasional concern for pedestrians or her friends.Reserved - Lyra is an incredibly private individual. She seldom reveals anything about her private life to those beyond her family and inner circle. There are even things about her that people within her trusted circle don't know.Calculative - The mind of the Pendragon daughter is consistently absorbing and comprehending information, not to mention the wide range of knowledge she's had at her disposal. Furthermore, she quickly understands the big picture and the fine details. She draws accurate conclusions at an alarming pace and surfaces surprising information about a particular subject or solutions to a specific problem.Polite - The dance of cordiality is an art Lyra has mastered. Politics and settings where civility is key are places of great power and ease for the young Shirogane. Despite her guarded and imposing nature, she doesn't lack charm or graceful displays of kindness. She learned fast that sometimes friendliness is a much greater ally than fear. However, Lyra does genuinely care about where she places her hospitality. She does not offer it exuberantly to those she deems unworthy.Loyal - Lyra is loyal down to the marrow of her bones. Truthfully, reliability is one of the only parts of herself she prides on. She can't fathom seeing harm come to those she loves and trusts, much less by her own hands. Even beyond death, her soul is rooted in loyalty.Unusual Behavior:Enraged - Pure, raw, and unfiltered anger is a spectacle very few have witnessed from Lyra. It is seldom for her to open up her woes to the public.Traitorous - Lyra has next to never betrayed anyone she trusts or considers an ally, and the one time she enacted treachery left her with deep regret. She vowed never to repeat that mistake. Therefore, it is near impossible to see the Shirogane daughter ever commit betrayal again.Vengeful - Most of the time, depending on the severity of the situation, Lyra is forgiving and tends not to hold grudges. However, she never forgets the actions an individual has made. Furthermore, she ensures any sign of mercy isn't something to take for granted. She prefers not to worry about the what-ifs. Although, she will see that a task is finished if it is significant enough to require her hand for closure.Moral Beliefs: Lyra's morality and philosophy is layered and sometimes akin to wandering a maze with a blindfold equipped. Her father instilled a sense of justice within her that she uses as a guideline to perceive the world. However, her will is softer than her father's, yet concrete. In most cases, she believes in Humanity and supports their survival and, within reason, their endeavors and pursuits. Although, she does have exceptions to these views. Incidentally, she is willing to get rid of the many to save the few if that's what it takes to keep her family out of jeopardy. These dangerous thoughts are what separate her from a good-natured hero. Additionally, in her eyes, quality is much more critical than quantity regarding personal decisions. Finally, the rest of her thought process remains unpredictable and uncertain. No one truly knows what resides in her mind.General Temperament: Overall, Lyra is an elusive, mysterious, pleasant, and guarded individual. At first glance, she seems eerie and intimidating until her ethereal smile warmly invites you. She maintains a regal and composed aura in adversity or any conditions. Her imposing, enchanting, serene, and contradictive dichotomies are a complexity that is arduous for even the smartest and most knowledgeable to penetrate and solve.

The Awakening

“When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark.”

The fateful day arrived in a mighty clash between Shigure Shirogane and Eun Kyung Bu—a destined fight for what the Shirogane family believed was necessary to save humanity. Deep sorrow befell the Shirogane daughters when they learn of their father’s defeat. Eun and Glasc co. prevailed and emerged victorious. Shigure, a beacon who once stood for the extermination of Calamity’s production, lost to the infamous Devil.Lyra and Rika agreed not to wait in silence and devised several plans to try and halt Glasc’s manufacture. There were plenty of losses and victories throughout multiple attempts. However, Eun eventually sought action to put the twins down for good. Regardless of the outcome, for better or for worse, Calamity spread like wildfire throughout the continent. Nearly every nation accepted the concoction graciously and reaped from its proclaimed benefits. Dismayed and forlorn, the sisters took to Stygia and tried to draft one final blow.Unfortunately, Stygia looked at their unsuccessful leader with discontent and bitterness. Any faith they had in their royal family diminished the moment Eun’s victory was announced. The Shirogane twins faced hatred and disloyalty within their own walls. It was as if the world turned against them for trying to save it. Lyra’s heart ached for her people but their malicious animosity overwhelmed her sweet demeanor. On the other hand, Rika acted coldly and distastefully when she learned of Stygia’s attitude. From every corner, threats loomed, and bounty hunters chased the powerful sisters. While each hunter was carelessly slaughtered, Eun’s hand never left the scene. She persisted in plotting Rika’s and Lyra’s demise. Their opposition was too strong to leave unchecked. The witch’s hand would never stop the world’s pursuit of the sisters’ end.The Shirogane twins realized they could unleash their anger and torch the world for its betrayal. Nevertheless, such action would make their previous efforts futile. Every trial they endured to save humanity would amount to nothing if they were to burn it all. Perhaps there was a way to escape the endless pursuits of their enemies without the call of destruction. This is the idea that struck their minds. After much contemplation and deliberation, Lyra and Rika chose to enter a stasis in hopes they could awaken to a world eager for their help. They took to the stars and placed themselves in comfortable pods that would withhold and sustain them for a long time.A hundred years later, an asteroid passed by the planet and slammed into the twin’s pods. They were separated and knocked out of orbit, sent crashing down upon the continent. Each pod entered the atmosphere and descended akin to a falling star. Now introduced to a new world and century, both sisters had to adapt and locate each other. Little did they know what consequences Magitech would have on the planet and what future secrets would finally come to light.
